Amazon Prime
If you spend much time in an RV, there's a good chance that sooner or later you're going to need something in a hurry. It might be a screen-door latch, a new radio, a small electric heater, a toilet part or something else. Lately, I've been amazed at what Amazon.com has for RVs, including almost all parts for pretty much any toilet you might have, solenoids, converters, inverters, sewer connection parts, and a whole lot more.
If you are an Amazon Prime member, you get free, unlimited 2-day shipping on Prime items. You get it even if you only order one item. Often, 1-day shipping is an option and not all that expensive. I've ordered things in the afternoon, paid about $5.00 for 1-day shipping, and received them the next day before noon.
Camping world has a lot of things you might need, but their shipping charges can be steep, and often, the only shipping method is UPS ground, with a 5-7 day wait for the item. If you need something in a hurry, that's a long time to wait. Their checkout process is cumbersome, you can't reorder things easily, and returns are not at all convenient.
Amazon stores every shipping address you've ever used, so if you visit the same parks, you can select your current shipping address with a few clicks. Returns, refunds, and replacements are a dream, and with Prime, you often don't have to pay the return shipping cost — you just print the return shipping label, slap in on the package, put it in your mailbox, hand it to a passing UPS driver, or drop it off. In most cases, you'll get the refund immediately and you'll have 30 days to return the product.
As a bonus, with Amazon Prime you also get internet access to over 40,000 movies and TV shows, a ton of free Amazon Prime music (both songs and albums in almost any genre), and free loans of some Kindle books.
For me, it's well worth the membership price, and you can try it free for 30 days.
