Re: Power Gear ydraulic Levellers
It appears I now have a permanent fix to my hydraulic jack woes. When the new style keypad arrived and I tried to wire it in, the colour on the wires didn't match up with either the colours on the old style square connector nor the wire bundle that Fleetwood installed to connect the keypad to the co...

Re: Power Gear Hydraulic Levellers
Well, I guess it was too good to last. Shortly after my last post the jacks became temperamental, deciding to not work at random times. I understand the system reasonably well and quickly determined it was the connection between the wiring harness and the keypad. Again. It really is a poor design. I...

Re: New Flooring Photos 2004 35E (3)
Clearance between the bottom of the slide and the surface of the floor covering is a problem in many Bounders, including mine. I understand there are riser blocks available to prevent them from touching but we took the easy route and just leave the 30" x 12' carpet runner on the floor which the...

Re: New Flooring Project 2004 35E
The hide-a-bed was heavy and awkward but the back came off making it easier to move with a couple of strong backs. I also had removed the entrance grab handle for another inch or two of clearance.

New Flooring Project 2004 35E
Grrr! I type up the project description and then drag and drop a photo into what I think is the attachment space and poof! The description is gone. The lesson here is type up (and save) your work locally before copying it into your post. Because of covid, we can’t go camping so I brought Seven (our ...

Power Gear ydraulic Levellers
Thought I'd share my experience with cranky Power Gear hydraulic levellers in our Bounder. We have the automatic system with the 500629 control panel. I think this is a common setup. It turns out there are three major components: the control panel on the dash, the tank and pump assembly, and the con...

Re: What Not to Do When 20+ Year Old Thetford Toilet Starts Having Issues
Our toilet didn't last quite that long but had similar issues with the seal leaking. Then last season the return spring broke which meant the valve stayed open unless manually closed by lifting up the pedal. A whole new spring and valve assembly was stupidly expensive for what they are so I started ...

Re: Rear bath flooring
Bob,
There were a few dabs of glue here and there but it was mostly held down by gravity, the vanity, and the perimeter silicone beads / carpet transition. An easy weekend job with good results.
