Board now read-only

Due to lack of interest and repeated attacks by Russian bots, I've made all the boards here read-only and turned off new registrations. I've left the existing posts in case they contain information that you might find useful. You can also look https://bobsguides.com/rv.html for lots more information...

Re: Heat on a 2002 Bounder

This happened to me also. The furnace would stay off until the temperature dropped below the setting, then it would come on and run forever. I tried taking the thermostat on the bedroom wall off and unplugging the wires behind it -- no effect. If that works for you to turn off the furnace, you proba...

Re: Slide out 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 34V

I assume you've tried Fleetwood (try that if you haven't). This is their online parts store: https://revrvparts.com/store Did you try Walt's RV Surplus ? They have a lot of bounder parts. I think this is the main number: (951) 270-0015. Amazon has a surprising amount of RV parts, though they can be ...

Re: Thermostat

AFAIK, the furnace does not respond to the zone 2 setting, only the zone 1 (front) setting (unless you have two furnaces in that rig). The ACs will respond to both zone 1 and zone 2 because there are two of them -- one for each zone, but if there's only one furnace it responds to the sensor in the m...

Re: Atwood heater

I haven't seen that problem, but I wonder if it might be a loose connection or bad solder joint at the igniter that's pulled slightly loose when the slide is out. The propane is flowing, since you can smell it, but failing to ignite -- suggesting a problem with the igniter which generates a spark to...

Re: How to remove LED puck light from headliner/ceiling?

I think you just pull down on the cover. I just pulled one off with my fingernails. Mine snap back in place. If one breaks, I'm pretty sure you could get another from Fleetwood (Rev Parts) for a small fee.

Re: New Flooring Photos 2004 35E (3)

I installed the riser blocks on my bounder and found that they have no effect on either the contact with the floor or the ease of getting the slide over the initial "hump" in the first foot or so of bringing it in, in fact there's no contact with the blocks during the first few feet when b...

Re: 1992 fleetwood bounder issues starting after tow.

It sounds like you are on the right track with respect to the wiring, but the fact that it would idle but not move suggests that it may have been towed without disconnecting the drive shaft, causing serious damage to the transmission. If that's the case, it might not be worth the effort to correct t...
