Rear bath flooring

Another 2017 project - the flooring in the rear shower/sink area was looking tired and scratched up so I thought it would be a manageable project with small cost and large results.

I trimmed away the expanded metal grill and some of the 'wood' under the rear closet while I was at it. The heat registered buried down there still doesn't flow much warm air because of the kinks and bends in the flexible ducting but it will do.

It was easy enough to remove the vanity and then strip out the old vinyl. I filled the floor joints and dents with flexible floor patching materials and adjusted the shower doors. I replaced most of the screws in the shower door hardware and replaced the old carpet to lino transition metal. I used vinyl 12" x 24" click-together tiles rated for the damp location. Another good looking sub $100 project.

I'm happy with the result and have since added vinyl backsplash tiles to match the kitchen. You can see the package on the vanity in the last photo.

I like it. Was the old linoleum glued down?

Bob,
There were a few dabs of glue here and there but it was mostly held down by gravity, the vanity, and the perimeter silicone beads / carpet transition. An easy weekend job with good results.
